Warship attends to resuce of small boat
Posted on October 30th 2009
A mine recovery mission, which was being carried out by a war ship on Monday October 26 in Milford Haven, had to be put on hold after a small fishing boat became in need of rescue services.
The sailboat, Blythe, had got into danger after its engines failed, causing it to lose power and drift into danger. The warship, known as Bangor had been carrying out a mine operation on the haven but abandoned the mission to attend to the small boat.
As there was not much the warship could do to help out the fishing boat they just stood by ensuring its safety until another fishing boat was able to stop and help repair the damage caused to its engines. The small boat then returned to Milford Haven harbour.
