Southampton Boat Shows theatrical approach
Posted on September 12th 2008
Southampton’s Boat Show, which kicks off today will be treated to a more theatrical approach by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. The show will stage theatre productions, in conjunction with the Royal National Lifeboat institution and the Royal Yachting Association to demonstrate the importance of wearing a life jacket. They are hoping that this will encourage boaters to wear life jackets that have been maintained and fit for the purpose required.
The performances will be everyday, except Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 1.30 and 4.30. There will also be demonstrations by the New Coastguard Rescue Helicopter who will be demonstrating search and rescues on water.
