Second attempt for Kite Surfer
Posted on March 07th 2008
Chris Bull the intrepid Kite surfer, who in 2004 nearly circumnavigated the Isle of Wight, is to try again in the next two weeks depending on favourable conditions.
Chris is hoping this latest attempt will see him become the first person to do it. Over the 90km course he will have to endure varying wind speed and quality, tide, currents and the physical aspect of kite surfing for six hours plus.
His first attempt that ended in failure so close to the end, due to the wind changing, should give him an insight into what will be required of him.
In addition to trying to set a new record he is also using the opportunity to raise money for the RNLI. His website page http://www.justgiving.com/chrisbull2 gives details on how to sponsor, current total and projected set date.
