Posted on October 17th 2008
A narrowboat, which was situated upon the River Thames was destroyed by fire on Wednesday evening.
At 10.45pm at Gossmore Lane, Marlow, two fire crews from High Wycombe tackled the narrowboats flames. On board were liquid petroleum gas cylinders, one of which had already exploded before the fire crews arrived.
One of the fire crews commented that the fire was quite involved on their arrival, with it from one end to another, there has also been no reason found so far as to why the fire started in the stern of the narrowboat in the first place.
