London boat show wins award

The London boat show has won the best consumer show at the Association of Event Organisers excellence awards for 2008.

The award is testament to the show’s strength and flexibility in difficult market conditions as the national economic slowdown takes hold and increased competition from within the industry.

In the face of these conditions the show had reported consistent visitor attendance and very healthy sales revenue.

The varied entertainment on the main stage was hailed as one of the major highlights that the some 127,000 visitors could see at the show.
