Living the dream for grandma
Posted on June 09th 2008
After loosing his mother from cancer, Tim Mitchell and son James are planning to sail around the UK in a sadler 26, Elle. They are planning; weather permitting, to travel the 2,000 miles in a west about direction.
Tim has been sailing for 40 years and has always dreamed of doing this kind of trip, the brilliant thing about this venture is that they are raising money for the cancer charity Myeloma UK.
The voyage will take the 2 boys 3 months to travel the 2,000 miles round trip. For son James, this will be the perfect start for his gap year after completing his A-levels.
