Indian Navy blows up wrong boat

One November 18th India’s Navy blew up what they believed to be a pirate Mothership that turned out to be hijacked Thai fishing boat whose crew were tired up below deck.
The Indian Navy vessel INS Tabar blew up an Ekawat Nava 5, which was believed to be a floating Armoury loaded with ammunition and explosives according to India.
The true story actually emerged when one of the fishing boats crew was found drifting alive across the Indian Ocean. The fourteen other crewmembers are all still missing.
This episode has triggered a review of the terms of engagement when patrolling the ocean.
