Fishing boat sinks
Posted on December 17th 2008
A fishing boat was spotted travelling along the old channel waves in the early hours of the morning. The unmanned 20-foot vessel was heading towards Orcombe point. Brixham coastguards launched Exmouth’s all weather lifeboat. The crew soon discovered that there was no one aboard the drifting boat. The rescue crew had a difficult task in trying to recover the run away boat, as they had to deal with big spring tides and rough weather. The boats anchor was still attached and sunk before the lifeboat could rescue it. News brought to you by www.insuremyboat.co.uk, for all your boating needs. Call us today for a competitive quote.
