Fire destroys fishing vessel
Posted on July 10th 2009
A boat, which was currently under repair at a boat yard by the International Boatbuilding College near Lowestoft, has been left badly damaged after it caught fire on Wednesday afternoon.
The six metre fishing vessel, which was carrying a 3kg propane cylinder had to be put under control by fire fighters, who were required to removed the cylinder whilst tackling the flames.
The Suffolk fire and rescue service have commented that the vessel was well alight and doesn’t look to be sea worthy for some time!
