Falmouth hosts boat show this weekend

Falmouth will be hosting its first Boat Show in over 20 years from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June 2009 at the Events Square in the town. Along with 15 varieties of boats, including canoes, yachts and powerboats there will also be family attractions, marine businesses and also boat builders and marine suppliers.
A lively Arts and Craft market will also be at the show which will be opened at 12 noon on Friday by the Pipes and Drums of the British Army Office Training Corps.
Falmouth Marine School, Port Falmouth Marina and South West Lakes Trust are a few of the Marine Businesses that have signed up to be on display at the show. Present will also be the Vision of Cornwall Atlantic Rowing Challenge team. They will be hosting a rowing machine challenge to entertain families, as well as a bouncy castle and children’s teacups roundabout.
Organisers of the show hope that if this years show becomes a success the Falmouth boat show will be a yearly occasion.
