One of the biggest passenger boats in the world arrived in Liverpool yesterday on its tour of the UK celebrating its 5th birthday. The Queen Mary 2 the child of Cunard Cruises, weighing in at a cool 151,400 tones and is a pinnacle of Liverpool's ship building reputation.
The trip will see the Queen Mary 2 sail down the Mersey River, which has been described as the perfect setting for the vessel to sail due to its routes. Cunard Cruisers has been around for over 170 years, founded in 1839 the company has won many awards for its contribution to the industry.
The cruiser will be host to the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra during its celebratory cruise, as well as featuring other celebrations. No matter the length of the journey you can be sure the passengers will be well treated as the Queen Mary 2 is the most expensive liner ever to be made.
