Compensation awarded to man after crash

A man has received £500,000 settlement after a serious car accident led to the loss of his arm.
In 2004 the man was a passenger in a car when the vehicle careered off of the road into a roadside lamppost.
The accident led to weeks of hospitalisation and it was decided that his injured arm would have to be surgically removed.
In the settlement the drivers insurance company agreed claims of extreme pain and flashbacks. The settlement was agreed at £500,000.
