Charity boat appeal
Posted on March 06th 2009
The River Time Boat Trust, a Charity that has been raised to organise boat trips for disabled and disadvantaged Children and Adults, is appealing for funding to be able to keep the boat afloat.
The boat is run by volunteers and backed by Olympic rowing legend Sir Matthew Pinsent OBE. It was launched last year and provides Summer Time Cruises down the Middle Thames between Windsor and Oxford. In 2008 43 trips were carried out for families with children who have special needs.
Volunteers are currently preparing the boat, the Rivertime, for the summer, however to keep the boats high standards the Trustees are urging for more financial support.
