British Waterways clamp down on License Evaders
Posted on January 31st 2008
The British Waterways enforcement team is looking to seize seven unlicensed boats, in the South East over the next few weeks.
4,300 formal notices were sent out to license evaders last year that had failed to license their boats. Resulting in a recovery of overdue license fees of approximately £3/4 million.
In early January 2 boats were craned out of the water from The Oxford Canal and The Grand Union Canal after not having a license. This shows British Waterways latest steps in their zero tolerance policy for license evaders.
